The Engagement We’ve All Been Waiting For
The happy couple announced the news of their engagement on August 26th and subsequently broke the internet. In the days since, you cannot scroll on social media, news platforms, or go anywhere really without seeing details of their engagement and the gorgeous photos (and we’re not mad about it). They got engaged in Travis’s own garden which he transformed into a private, lush, dreamscape.
Let's Talk About The Ring
Let’s talk about what we’re really here for though: the ring. Her ring is nothing but show stopping. Travis proposed with a massive old mine cut diamond on a hand engraved yellow gold band. The ring hits the perfect balance between old-school charm – the old mine cut was a staple of the 18th and 19th centuries – and Taylor’s own artistic creativity, echoed in the hand-engraved band that reflects her personal and intricate approach to songwriting. Also, Kelce played an active role in the design of the ring, proving just how well he knows her. We also couldn’t help but notice the diamond studded watch on her left wrist that might have stolen the show from any lesser ring (the woman has impeccable taste!).

So, what does this (dare I say it) engagement of the decade mean for the future of engagement ring trends? Like it or not, Taylor Swift is one of the most famous and influential people of our generation. Every single thing she does, wears, or posts immediately becomes deified and carefully scrutinized by her millions of fans and skeptics alike.
